Annual Covered Bridge Jams Bluegrass Jamboree brings top artist to park

For the third year in a row, the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department brought the best in Bluegrass music to Covered Bridge Park for the Covered Bridge Jams Bluegrass Jamboree.

Despite the heat and sun, the crowd continued to grow over the course of the afternoon as Stemwinder opened the day and were followed by Hollow Ground to get the stage set for the remainder of the afternoon.

Unicoi native Tim Decker and Tennessee River entertained the crowd as more visitors began to gather in anticipation of Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers as well as the Bluegrass Group of the Year in Authentic Unlimited.

Food trucks were on hand to provide a variety of offerings from ice cream, snow cones, popcorn, pizza, speciality corn dogs, and grilled sandwiches.
