Patriotic wreath raised on Covered Bridge

When the Elizabethton Fire Department fire engine is parked at Covered Bridge during this time of the year, it can only mean one thing - it’s time to hoist the patriotic wreath from a raft to the side of the bridge.
On Friday afternoon, members of the Elizabethton Fire Department with help from the Carter County Rescue Squad once again lifted the large wreath in place to signal summer has begun and the Fourth of July is right around the corner.
The wreath makes for a beautiful photo opportunity for those that enjoy photography and will be a centerpiece for the Independence Day Celebration put on by the Elizabethton Park and Recreation on July 4th.
