2017 Spring Adult Flag Football League


Fall Flag Football is played on Sunday afternoons at Kiwanis Park Field. We play on a 75 yard field with a 6 man team. We provide the flags and the field, you provide the team. The cost is $260 per team for an 8 game season and single elimination tournament.

 Registration Deadline: March 24, 2017

  Season Starts: April 2, 2017  All playersmust be 16 years of age and sign a waiver.Anyone under 18 must have a parent sign also sign the waiver.

Tryouts are scheduled for March 25th 

Anyone who has signed up will be on a team.
If for whatever reason a player cannot tryout then they will not be eligible to be picked by a manager during one of the draft rounds.The player will be assigned to a team by lottery at the end of the draft.

 All players that are 7 yrs. or older and are in the draft will be contacted about tryouts in next few days.

Lifeguards Needed at Franklin Pool

The City of Elizabethton’s Franklin Pool will soon be hiring Lifeguards for the 2017 summer season.

This position supervises all patrons that visit the pool facility, performs daily maintenance, administers First Aid and CPR, and completes accident reports and other duties as assigned. 

• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Lifeguard Certification and current CPR and Basic First Aid Certificate.

• Starting rate of pay for this position is $7.32/hour. 

• Applications will be accepted in April.

The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities for the citizens of Elizabethton. With the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains and scenic rivers as a backdrop the Parks and Recreation Department now maintains seventeen recreational facilities throughout Elizabethton. Walking and bike trails, tennis courts, an outdoor aquatics facility, the Elizabethton Recreation Center, playground equipment, outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, picnic pavilions and thirteen athletic fields make up a unique blend of recreational opportunities for all ages.The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department also offers a variety of athletic leagues and programs with more than 1,500 participants in leagues including Flag Football, Coed Volleyball, Kickball and Basketball. At the heart of the program and home to business offices is the Recreation Center, a facility that offers athletic leagues, dance and exercise classes, a conference room, meetings, private parties, community events, morning walking and more.
