Mission Statement- Finance Department City of Elizabethton
It’s the goal of the Finance Department of the City of Elizabethton to serve our citizens in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner. Those who work in the finance department wish to be of service, and understand it is their responsibility to provide support when called upon.
“We wish to be strong stewards,” states Preston Cobb, Director of Finance. “The Department intends to exercise competent, professional judgement to ensure we are in compliance with all collections and financial reporting.”
The City of Elizabethton Finance Department oversees all matters pertaining to the city’s budget and is responsible for finances for the General Fund, Governmental Funds, Utilities (Sanitation, Water/Sewer, Electric).
