Resurfacing to begin on 'G' Street in Elizabethton

Crews will begin street resurfacing operations on various sections of major thoroughfare, 'G' Street in Elizabethton, from Holston Avenue to Mary Patton Highway beginning on Monday 4/1/2024. 

 

Work is expected to be completed by the end of April, weather permitting. 

 

The work includes milling, resurfacing, and installation of pavement markings.  Drivers can expect daytime lane closures on a rotating schedule. 

 

While the City will make every effort to minimize disruption to traffic, residents are urged to plan ahead and use alternative routes or allow extra time when traveling in these areas. 

 

As always, use caution and stay focused while driving in work zones.  The City of Elizabethton thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation as work is done to improve city streets.
