City of Elizabethton's Pleasant named as 40 Under Forty recipient

City of Elizabethton Water Resource Department general manager Jonathan Pleasant was recently recognized as a recipient of The Business Journal of Tri-Cities Tennessee/Virginia 40 Under Forty award which recognizes emerging stars of the region.

 

Described by colleagues in Elizabethton as intelligent, detailed-oriented, approachable, personable and committed to public service, Pleasant has excelled in every position that he has held with the City of Elizabethton and now serves as the General Manager of the Water Resources Department.

 

Overseeing 60 employees, Pleasant is responsible for a budget of $13.7 million in annual budgets and has been credited with advancing key capital projects that will positively impact the City of Elizabethton for years to come.

 

He is a rising star determined to serve the greater good by being a good manager of both people and projects being committed to leaving Elizabethton better than he found it.
